Powering Ethiopia’s Digital Payment Future

Ethiopia’s shift toward digital payments reached another milestone on December 9 and 10 at the Ethiopian Digital Payment Conference. The event, organized by the National Bank of Ethiopia in collaboration with EthSwitch, also marked the rollout of the National Digital Payment Strategy 2026 to 2030 (NDPS 2.0).

We participated in the conference where Senior government leaders, including Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh and National Bank of Ethiopia Governor Dr Eyob Tekalign Tolina, were among the stakeholders in attendance, reflecting the growing focus on coordinated progress.

As our country moves forward under NDPS 2.0, we remain focused on building payment infrastructure and supporting the expansion of digital payments across Ethiopia.
