I hope you're doing well! We hope you had a fantastic April (I know it is late, but better late than never). This month, we have an exciting collection of updates and developments to share with you. But first, how was your Easter or any other holidays you celebrated? We hope you had a rejuvenating time with your loved ones. Speaking of holidays, It was my birthday, and I was busy cooking something for you all :) 

As we dive into the latest updates, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you. Without your support and trust, we wouldn't have achieved the incredible milestone of processing over 1 Billion ETB in 2023 alone. It's a testament to our amazing community and our team's dedication.

Product Updates

We're thrilled to announce a new collaboration that will empower our merchants to seamlessly accept payments from their customers—introducing our integration with Telegram Payments!

With this new feature, you can now integrate your Chapa merchant account with your Telegram channel or bot, allowing you to accept payments directly within the Telegram platform. This integration opens up a world of possibilities for businesses, making engaging with your customers and providing a frictionless payment experience even easier.

 

Our developer team has been hard at work enhancing our mobile app experience. If you haven't updated your app recently, head over to your respective app store and download the latest version for a smoother user experience.

In response to your feedback, we've made email, first_name and last_name optional parameters in your API payloads. This will minimize the user's data requests and help your customers make payments seamlessly.

Community & Open Source

We want to give a shoutout to Temesgen, who developed an incredible Bubble plugin that simplifies your payment integration with the Bubble site. Check it out and contribute to its growth.

Our Flutter enthusiasts will be thrilled to know that we have released an updated version of Chapa-flutter. It now includes additional features like real-time data synchronization and improved performance.
